Doctor/FCP Appointments

Surgeries are by appointment only.

For same-day appointments, call after 8:00 AM.

If your preferred clinician is unavailable, an alternative will be offered. Some advance bookings are available for follow-ups or specific needs (e.g., transport). Requests for a preferred clinician are honored if possible, but if urgent, an alternative will be provided.

The Practice operates a Triage System

The Phone lines open at 8:00AM Monday to Friday for triage call requests

You will be added to our Triage list and a clinican will contact you on the most appopriate plan for treatment.

Appointments are for one person only. Urgent cases and children are seen the same day. Sick notes are not emergencies and will not be given an urgent appointment.

 

 

 

Extended Hours

If you find it difficult to access a GP during normal surgery times we have now introduced extended hours surgeries during the following times:

Mondays 7:30am to 8am, 

Tuesdays 7:30am to 8am, 6:00pm to 7PM

Wednesdays 7:30am to 8am

Thursday 7:30am to 8am

Fridays 7:30am to 8am, 6:30pm to 7pm

These extra sessions are for the use of patients who are designated carers or due to work commitments cannot get during normal surgery times and these appointments are pre-bookable.

Cancel an Appointment

If you can't attend your appointment, inform reception so it can be offered to another patient. Failing to notify the practice will result in a letter about your missed appointment, and repeated no-shows may lead to removal from the list. You can cancel appointments online if scheduled more than 24 hours in advance or manage them through the NHS App.

Asked for a callback?

Please ensure your phone is switched on and you answer the call. Failure to do so will finish your callback as 'Did Not Answer' and you will need to contact the surgery again.

Nurse Appointments

These may be booked in advance.

Consultations

Consultations are not to be used for solely ordering repeat medication and the Clinician may ask the patient to order routine medications via Reception.

Late For Your Appointment

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If late, you may not be seen and will need to reschedule for the next available appointment, unless it's a medical emergency requiring immediate attention.

Interpreter

If you require an interpreter to attend your appointment please notify the receptionist and this will be arranged for you.

Online Appointments

Ask Reception for your unique log-in details.
If you have login details please use the link at the bottom of the page to book an online appointment.

Home Visits

Please request before 10:30 am whenever possible. Please only request a home visit if it is absolutely necessary, and it is not physically possible to attend the surgery.

Patients requesting a home visit will be asked the reason for the visit by the reception staff. This is to enable the Doctors to prioritise visits.

Text Reminder Service

A texting service is available to receive appointment confirmations and reminders. To use this service, you must register by completing a consent form. Remember to update your contact details with us if your address, phone number, or email changes.
